Make a Difference
Dear Black & African American Healthcare Professionals,
We hope this letter finds you well. You are cordially invited to our first public reception at the American Society of Hematology (ASH) 2024 annual meeting in San Diego, CA.
You are also invited to join our newly formed organization. We are dedicated to supporting the academic career development of Black Oncologists, providing effective community education and engagement to the African diaspora, and advocating for advancements in drug development and culturally sensitive medical practices.
As African American medical professionals, you play a critical role in addressing the health disparities experienced by the African American community. Your expertise and experience will be invaluable to the success of this organization.
We believe that by coming together, we can better support each other, share resources and knowledge, and work towards solutions to combat disparities in the field of oncology. We believe that we can make a real difference in the lives of African American patients and communities, as we are already seeing early signs of the positive impact of our efforts through the reactions and responses of people within our communities.
If you are interested in joining this exciting new organization, please do not hesitate to contact us via Email at contact@NABONC.org.
We look forward to working with you to advance the oncology field and positively impact the lives of Black patients and communities.
Regards,
James Posey, III, MD, President
